This is where Passion meets Purpose for me. Knitting and Spinning (and almost everything that comes along with them )are two passionate hobbies of mine. I’m not sure I’d still have all my sanity without them! The ability to create is a powerful thing in and of itself. However, it also provides the distinct opportunity to not only be creative, but to release yourself….to lose all your inhibitions and just...be...free. That is what knitting and spinning do for me, and that is why I love them so. This space will also allow the opportunity to bring awareness and pay homage to an art form that has seemed to live in some capacity throughout the ages. This, I’m sure, is the reason many people think ‘old’ or ‘outdated’ when they hear the terms ‘knitting’ or ‘spinning’ (once they get past spinning meaning spinning fiber into yarn, and not the class that you can take at your local YMCA involving a stationary bike!) Finally, there’s also a different twist (a little play on words there) I’d like to put on things. I want to polarize the Fashion elements that knitting and spinning present.
My name is Janetha Jones. I am originally from Jacksonville, NC, but currently reside in the Charlotte area. I have a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management, but am currently an IT professional (go figure!) My baby Chico is pictured below, he's a Chihuahua. Isn't he ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!
